Our conscious mind is like a well trained muscle. When we have an issue (like not enough energy, too much to do, random things popping up to take our energy, etc.) we tend to try to figure it out by using our mind.
Using your intuition is training yourself to listen to your body and your knowing. For today, take a breath, close your eyes, and think of a situation that you would like to know more about. Notice where you are feeling it in your body. Write that down. Now you have a starting point to get your message. Take this in small steps to really train your system. This is the most important thing to do every time a situation arises. Even if it is a good situation. Notice where you feel it in your body. For today, try to do that for every situation. Stop and take a clearing breath between each. For bonus points, see if you notice a pattern of where you feel a sensation in your body related to a situation.
